Obituary of Rebekah F. Walker

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Rebekah Flowers Walker, 71, will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Worship Center. The Rev. Javin Proctor and the Rev. Don Goude will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the church. The family invites everyone to bring a covered dish and join them for a meal following the service in the church gymnasium. A graveside service will be held in Eastside Cemetery in Rockingham, N.C. on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Worship Center.

    Mrs. Walker passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Born in Bennettsville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Rev. A. J. Flowers and Annie Bell Norton Flowers. Mrs. Walker was a member of Bethel Worship Center. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles and reading.

    Surviving are her husband, Luther “Lou” Walker; son, Robin Dwayne Norton (Krystina) of South Mills, N.C.; step-sons, Michael Walker (Gina) of FL; David Walker (Diana) of Costa Rica; a brother, Judson Flowers (Mollie) of Laurinburg, N.C.; 4 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a sister, Dora Lee Bowman.
