CASSATT- A funeral service for Judy M. Ray, 69, will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Theil-Meyer Pet Adoption Center.

Mrs. Ray passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born in Monroe, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Sam and Yvonne Baker Jenkins. Mrs. Ray was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of animals.

Surviving are her sons, Steven Dowey of Sherrills Ford, N.C., Jason Ray of Cassatt, grandchildren, Madelyn Dowey, Chloe Stone; a brother, Sammie Jenkins (Dana) of Camden; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Gwen Jenkins and Kathy Leadingham.
