LUGOFF – A celebration of life service for Frances Hinojosa Morgan Lane, 75, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne Flowers will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Mrs. Lane passed away April 11, 2014. Born in Salem, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Fred James and Oveline Elliott Morgan, Sr. Mrs. Lane served in the United States Navy and retired from SCANA as a city bus driver. She was a member of the American Legion and the ASPCA. She was a pet advocate who loved all animals. She enjoyed selling and meeting people at the local flea markets. Mrs. Lane also enjoyed gardening and watching sports, especially Clemson Football. Surviving are her daughter, Elisa Hinojosa (David) of Ridgeway; granddaughter, Lisa H. Andres (Chris); great-grandchildren, Riley and Blaise Andres; brothers, Fred Morgan, Jr. (Brenda), James Morgan (Wanda); nieces, Nancy, Amber, Dawn, Denise; nephews, Jimmy, Frank, Richard, Billy, Fred III; and her loving and faithful pets. She was predeceased by her husband, Eloy G. Hinojosa; and a sister, Brenda Melton.
