Obituary of Reggie Ray

LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Reginald Dean “Reggie” Ray, 53, will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Mr. Ray passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at MUSC Charleston surrounded by his family.  Born in Camden, he was the son of Tommy Dean and Brenda Williams Ray.  Reggie enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, playing cards but most of all spending time with his family.

    Left to cherish his memory is his children, Justin D. Ray of Columbia, Thomas S. Ray (Abbey) of Elgin and Katie E. Ray of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; father and mother, Tommy and Brenda Ray of Lugoff; sisters, Tonia Kelly (Larry) of Lugoff and Jessica Irwin (Matthew) of Howell, Mich.; brother, Jeffrey Ray (Sherrill) of Lugoff; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
