Obituary of Rev. William A. Walker, Jr.

CAMDEN- A funeral service for the Rev. William Adelbert Walker, Jr., 75, will be held Saturday, December 10 at 12:00 p.m. at High Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. David Stratford will officiate. A public viewing will be held Friday, December 9 from 10:0 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Rev. Walker passed away at home on Monday, November 28, 2022.  Born in Englewood, New Jersey, he was the son of William A. Walker Sr. and Mary E. Daniels Walker.  He was a faithful member of High Hill Baptist Church.  He enjoyed talking on the phone, laughing and joking around with family and friends, and fishing.

    Surviving are his wife, Theresa Ann Smith-Walker; Children, Bianca Walker, Cedric Walker, Lucretia Walker and Deshawn Smith; sisters, Kristine Walker and Eugenia Walker-Robinson; and 9 grandchildren.  He was predeceased by 1 brother.
