Obituary of Robert Lavern Trimnal

BISHOPVILLE – Graveside service for Robert Lavern Trimnal, 80, will be held on Saturday 10:00 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The Rev. Mike Watson will officiate.  The family will receive friends Friday, 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. 

Mr. Trimnal passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.  Born in Sumter, he was the son of the late Lewis N. and Katherine Zola Griffin Trimnal.  He retired from DuPont after 36 years of service where he was a mechanic.  He was a former member of Black Jack Beagle Club.  He enjoyed brace beagle trials, was an AKC Licensed Judge, coached for Kershaw County Recreation Department and was a Marble Champion as a young boy.

Surviving are his wife, Fannie Arceneaux Trimnal; sons, Robert L. Trimnal, Jr. and William Paul Trimnal;daughter, Sandra Murphy Tisdale (William Glenn); half-brothers, James Smith (Lily), Joseph Trimnal and Lee Rash; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his first wife, Bertha Eulaine Trimnal; and brother, Frankie Trimnal.
