You are the matriarch of the Richardson women. We will truly miss you. Thanks for all the cakes you made when I'd call at last minute for me and my military battles. You were so happy for the visits and the calls. I always say I'm the Minnie version of you. Love you

Aunt Anna, you were a woman who believed in her family and for that we are all grateful and blessed. I admired your strength, integrity and perseverance. You led your life by example. Your legacy goes on through all who benefited from your example. I am thankful for all of the memories I have of you because they always bring a smile to my face and in my heart. I am blessed to be named after such a strong, wise, wonderful woman as Aunt Anna. Even though she endured losses that would have caused many to give up, she didn’t complain. She ALWAYS looked at the positives in life and used her awesome sense of humor to keep us smiling. I miss her, I love her, and I admire her. Sleep in Jesus Aunt Anna.

Aunt Anna you will definitely be missed. You will never know how much it meant to me that you followed Samej from elementary through high school always complimenting his achievements with honor roll. You were a shining light in the RICHARDSON family, and we will never forget that. Take your rest!!! As the saying goes, we love you, but God loves you best!!!! RIP my beautiful dear aunt.

Aunt Anna you are truly going to be missed. You had a "Big Heart" and always willing to help if you could. I'm going to miss my random phone calls to you and showing up at the door and hearing you say, "I wish you had called me first, but come on in". I also remember all the fun as a kid in coming to Mt. Kisco and all the good food and goodies that you and Uncle Jr. had waiting knowing were coming. You are forever in my heart...love your niece Lisa D.

You labored long and hard in your vineyard, Rest in the peace of God. I'll see you in the morning.

Anna was more than a sister to us. She was like a mother, helping her younger siblings in any way she could. She was the matriarch of our family. She would sit in her pink chair, and we would all sit around waiting for her to share family history or one of the many things she had experienced in life. Sister, I will truly miss you and I love forever, but your work here is done. Rest in the arms of the Lord. Your sister, Shirley

AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON
SWAYING IN THE SUN AMONST A GENTLE SPRING BREEZE
SHE BECAME ONE OF THE MIGHTY OAK TREES
ALTHOUGH STARTING FROM A SPROUT THAT SPRUNG FROM THE GROUND
HER ROOTS GREW TO BE PLANTED STRONG AND SOUND
AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON
IN TIME THE MIGHTY OAK HAD FOUR SPROUTS OF HER OWN
SHE SHELTERED AND PROVIDED UNTILL THEY WERE GROWN
THOUGH LIFE WAS NOT ALWAYS ONE OF BLISS
THE LOVE SHE HAD ONE CAN’T DISMISS
AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON
IN LIFE THE OAK HAD TO BRAVE MANY A STORM
AND AT TIMES THE BIRDS COULD HEAR HER MOURN
YET SHE WOULD NOT BREAK, NOR BEND, AND KEPT HER BRANCHES HELD HIGH
BECAUSE SHE KNEW THOSE TRIALS WOULD PASS HER BY
AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON
ALAS, THE MIGHTY OAK BECAME ILL
AND HER HEALTH QUICKLY FADED DOWNHILL
HER BRANCHES DROOPED AND HER LEAVES BEGAN TO FALL
IN SPITE OF THAT SHE LIVED HER LIFE TO THE BEST OF ALL
AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON
ALTHOUGH THE MIGHTY OAK HAS FALLEN AWAY
THE MEMORIES OF HER FILL OUR HEARTS EVERY DAY
AS WE THINK OF ALL THE POSITIVE THINGS SHE HAS DONE
WE CHERISH HER TIME SPENT IN THE SUN
AND GOD’S QUIET WIND BLEW ON

I was so sad to hear about the passing of a very dear person to me, loved her like a Mother. Mrs. Anna was a great cook and I truly loved her food, her cooked for the employees at the Habitat Store weekly and I made sure to go by and have some of that delicious food . She cooked for me and my guest when we attended the Jazz Festival in Charleston. I just loved her carrot cookies; make my mouth water just thinking about them.
I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to visit her a little over a week ago.
Mrs. Anna, I loved you very much and sorry that I didn’t get the chance to spend more time with you.
Rest In Peace!
Mayor Alfred Mae Drakeford
