Obituary of Jimmy Douglas Scott

LEXINGTON – Jimmy Douglas Scott, 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.  Born in Cordova, N.C., in 1946, he was the son of the late Wilbert Scott and stepdad, Colman Davis and mother, Margaret Davis.  He served in the United States Army.

Surviving are his children, Teffa Gallegos of Colorado and Richard Scott of Camden; grandson, Elijah David Scott; and siblings, Mary Lanier and Diane Small.  He was predeceased by his parents and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with committal service to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
