Obituary of Juanita Frances "Bunny" Frye

Juanita Frances “Bunny” Frye, 75, of Hopkins, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Juanita Altman Weed. Bunny was a faithful Christian and attended First Assembly of God Church in Camden when her health allowed. She retired from Westinghouse after over 30 years of service as a Quality Control Inspector. Bunny was a die-hard Carolina Gamecock fan. She loved animals, daytime television, shopping on QVC, and playing Candy Crush on her Ipad. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Bunny was a loving, generous, and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

Bunny is survived by her daughters, Diana McLaughlin and Amanda Kirby-McKee (Sam); grandchildren, Bree McLaughlin, Heather Kirby, Dennis Kirby, II, Sam McKee, II, Matthew Kirby, and Brantley McKee; her brothers, Thomas Weed (Crystal) and Eddie Weed (Kay); her niece, Amber Weed; nephew, Brandon Weed; as well as numerous close friends.

In addition to her parents, Bunny was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Horton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at her home.
