Obituary of Alex Jackson

Clayton Alexander “Alex” Jackson, 33, of Lugoff, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Robin Alexander Jackson and Suzanne Denise Chappell Pharr. Alex was raised in Union Baptist Church in Elgin. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to hunt and go fishing with his son. Alex was born into logging and tree service, and he enjoyed working with his family. He was a skilled artist who loved to draw and sketch. He even designed all of his own tattoos. His greatest joy was spending time with his children, either fishing with his son, Brayden, or being with his daughter, Faith. Alex was a loving and devoted father, brother, son, and friend who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his mother, Alex is survived by his children, Brayden Jackson and Faith Robin Jackson; his sister, Rose Anne Hellams (David); his maternal grandmother, Ruby Chappell; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 4:00pm.
