Obituary of James Earl Thomley, Jr.

James Earl Thomley Jr., 39, of Lugoff, SC passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was the son of James Earl Thomley, Sr. and Linda Kay Branham Thomley.  Mr. Thomley was a landscaper for the majority of his life working as a Golf-Course Supervisor. He enjoyed chasing storms and was certified in SKYWARN Spotting. He also enjoyed hiking, history, cooking, sports, cars, listening as well as making music and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Gabe Thomley; and brother, DeMario Jones (Dori) of Missouri

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, William and Luleane Thomley; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Branham.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Powers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Burch Kelley will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION, 1500 K Street NW, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20005
