Nora, my prayers and condolences are with the Rose/Lane/ Peoples family doing this painful time. I can remember attending Gum Spring #2 many years ago and seeing Mrs. Hattie on the choir stand singing and praising God as she loved todo. Haven has truly gained a faithful, sweet servant of GOD.

My heart is with all the family and I know just how much this amazing lady means to everyone of you. I love you all and have loved Mrs Rose from the little skinny kid I used to be. She was a woman before her time: an entrepreneur before most people knew what it was. A mother and wife that many should strive to be just half as much as she was, never a mean word to anyone, never turned anyone away and ran a household with 7 children plus those of us who found ourselves always there, astute business woman and knew how to make farming pay the bills. Raised children who love each other and everyone they meet unconditional and instilled a strength in them they sometimes might not realize they have.

Words cannot express my feelings. Truly God has called His faithful servant and angel home. Sister Rose has touched my entire family’s life. She has left a legacy of love, kindness and generosity. She is the true definition of a friend and neighbor. I am so glad that my family and I gave Sister Rose her flowers while she lived. Sister Rose also had a major impact on the Community Baptist Church Family. You will be missed but never forgotten. We will continue to pray for the entire Rose family.
