Obituary of Dennis Gregory West, Jr.

CASSATT – A service to celebrate the life of Dennis Gregory West, Jr., 34, will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Cassatt Baptist Church with burial to follow the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LGSFoundation.org (Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome).

Greg passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.  Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son Dennis Gregory West Sr. and Lynne Price West.  He was a graduate of Camden High School and was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church.  He enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, playing PAL Ball with the Kershaw County Recreation Department, running and being outdoors.

Surviving are his parents, Dennis Gregory West Sr and Lynne Price West of Cassatt; sister, Megan West of Ojai, Calif.; brothers, Mack West of Cassatt and Hunter West of Cassatt; maternal-grandmother, Evora Price of Camden; nephews, Landon West and Zayne Branham; niece, Baylin Holden; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
