Obituary of Jerry Lewis Kershaw

REMBERT – Funeral service for Jerry Lewis Kershaw, 64, will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Boykin.  The Rev. Billie Bennett will officiate.  The family will receive friends Thursday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mr. Kershaw passed at MUSC Kershaw Health on Friday, June 10, 2022.  Born in Boykin, he was the son of Elijah Bennett and the late Julie Kershaw and Janie Kershaw.  He was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

    Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Alice Gary Kershaw; children, Tiffany Jones (Timothy) of Cassatt, Nikki Kershaw of Camden and Tynita Kershaw of Camden; siblings, Wayne McCray, Ted McCray, Beverly White, Linda Montgomery, Jeannett Outten, Marie Grant, Hattie Mae Wade, James Kershaw, Caleb Kershaw, Willis Kershaw, and Tanya King. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his dad, Little Ed Kershaw; stepmother, Azalee Bennett; and brother, Raymond Grant.
