Obituary of Eva Sue Wilson

Maggie Eva Sue LaMay Wilson, 83, of Camden, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Born in Bessemer, AL, on July 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edward and Gladys Margaret Lamay, and the wife of the late Julian Monroe Wilson. Eva retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years.

She is survived by her children, Debra Gemmer of Camden, Michael Wilson (Denise) of Athol, Idaho, Mitch Wilson (Carol) of Burleson, TX, Julian Wilson (Renee) of Auburn, WA, and John Wilson (Cindy) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Regina Mohammad, Melissa Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Jeremy Gemmer, Amber Bowen, and Gael Wilson; great-grandchildren, Jake, Susie, Becky, and Noah; as well as her sister, Geneva Allen (Doyle), and nephew, Sonny Allen.

In addition to her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by her son, Mark Wilson; and grandson, Bubba Wilson.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Malvern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
