Obituary of James Wesley Riley

James Wesley “Jamie”  Riley, 43, of Lugoff, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. He was the son of Emily Kay Reynolds Gibbs and the late Norman Carroll Riley. Jamie was a welder by trade and also worked in the construction industry. In his free time, he enjoyed, fishing, music, drones, swimming, bowling, and above all else being a father to his two daughters.

Jamie is survived by daughters, Taylor Riley (Waylon) and Emily Riley; mother, Emily Kay Reynolds Gibbs; grandmothers, Billie Faye Riley and Bertha Reynolds; sister, Angie Kelly; and grandchildren, Kane Harriot, Wesley Ritch and Laykin Ritch.

He was predeceased by his father, Norman Carroll Riley; grandfathers, James Reynolds, and Robert Riley; and brother-in-law, Mark Kelly.

A celebration of life will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
