Obituary of Billy Dale Watkins

LUGOFF- A funeral service for Billy Dale Watkins, 84, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Mr. Watkins, husband of the late Teresa Peake Watkins, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Born in Isney, Al, he was the son of the John Ewart and Bessie Lee Lewis Watkins. Mr. Watkins was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed reading and doing cross word puzzles.

    Surviving are his son, Gary Watkins (Ruby) of AL; grandson, Austin Watkins (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Langston and Willa Watkins; sisters-in-law, Darlene Hudson, Jenny Stockman, Ronda Peake, Carol Watkins, Juanell Watkins; and other relatives. He was predeceased by siblings, Betty Irby, Bobbie Odom, James Watkins and Jerry Watkins.
