Obituary of Billy W. Richardson

LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Billy Wayne Richardson, 78, will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may b e made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Alzheimer’s Foundation.

    Mr. Richardson passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022.  Born in Shelby, N.C., he was the son of the late Charles Reid Thelma Virginia Boheler Richardson.  He retired from Southeastern Freightliner.  He enjoyed wood working, fishing and working in his yard.

    Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Kathleen Peake Richardson; children, Debi Jay (Randy) of Lugoff, Lee O’Quinn (Kim) of Elgin, and Kimberly M. Seel (Bryan) Bonneau, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a brother, Reid Richardson Jr.
