Obituary of Dianne Barnett Jackson

Dianne Barnett Jackson, 74, of Ridgeway, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Hilliard and Nina Sharpe Barnett and the wife of Adrian Phillip Jackson, Sr. Dianne was an avid reader and an author of multiple children’s books. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, cooking, and being with her pets. She loved flowers and had a passion for supporting local charities and the elderly members of her own family. Above all, Dianne loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend.

In addition to her husband, Dianne is survived by her sons, Frank Dan Defreese (Martina Hollander), William Maxwell “Max” Defreese (Kristin), and Adrian Phillip Jackson, Jr. (Salem); her grandchildren, Morgan Defreese, Julian Defreese, Hudson Defreese, Dawson Defreese, Walker Jackson, and Wesley Jackson; and her siblings, Jacqueline Lindler (Nathan), Maxine Barnett, and Hilliard “Butch” Barnett.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow the service in Quaker Cemetery, Camden.
