LUGOFF - Funeral service for Carl Lee Hinson, 68, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hinson died, Tuesday, February 5, 2008. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late John Hinson and Mimie Mattox Hinson. He served in the United States Army National Guard and retired from Cogsdill Tool. Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Elizabeth Hinson; children, Richard Todd Jackson of Germany, Kevin Weathers of Camden, Sophia (Jody) Williams of Camden, Tina Michelle (Scott) Horton of Fredericksburg, Va., Kathy Huskey of Lugoff, Clara (David) Dietrich of Goldsboro, N.C.; siblings, John T. Hinson, Billy R. Hinson, Marion Hinson, Clyde M. Hinson, and Catherine Watts, all of Lugoff; 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
