Obituary of Brittney Nicole Jay Wilson

Brittney Nicole Jay Wilson, 35, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Carol Ray Jay Baskin and the late William Thomas Jay, and the wife of Christopher Tywaun “Ty” Wilson. Brittney was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. She enjoyed art and spending time with her children.

She is survived by her children, Tyler Kingston Wilson and Alivia Nicole Wilson; siblings, Megan Danielle Jay, Jonathan Gee Baskin, Jr., Nicholas Cash Baskin, Ruben Thomas Jay, Breyden Jay, and Aichlin Jay; nephews, Jeremiah, Jaeden, and Jayceon Hill; and her grandmothers, Barbara Varnadore and Carol Coulliette.

In addition to her father, Brittney was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruben H. Jay, Jr. and Jerry W. Ray, Sr.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Graveside Services will follow at 11:30am at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden.
