Obituary of Vertie Bowen Harris

ELGIN-A graveside celebration service honoring the life of Vertie Bowen Harris will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.

    Mrs. Harris, wife of the late James Allen Harris was born September 27, 1956 to the late Leon Bowen and Mary Bowen Moore of Elgin, SC.

    Prior to her retirement, she was a manager for Kmart Stores dedicating over 30 years of service.  She found enjoyment helping others in both her career and personal life.  She had a special love for children and was a caregiver to many.  She also enjoyed gardening, sewing and camping.  

    She leaves behind family and friends to cherish her memories.

    A heartfelt thank you to those that provided unwavering care, love and support during her illness.
