Obituary of Allen J. Clifford

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Allen Jay “A.J.” Clifford, 69, will be held Tuesday, April 12. 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Bishopville.  The Rev. Stephen Sanderson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Bishopville.

    Mr. Clifford passed away at home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.  Born in Cheyenne, Wy., he was the son of the late Arthur Jewell and Wanda Mae Williams Clifford.  He retired from Fluor Construction.  He enjoyed riding his Harley and woodworking.

    Surviving are his companion of 15 years, Janet Jay Singleton; children, Allena Clifford Mitchell (Malik), Jeremy Clifford, John Obregon, Sonia Obregon, Jennifer Branham (Chris), Rick Jay (T.J.) and Janna Cunningham (Ben); brother, Bob Clifford (Vicky); sister, Sandra Shivel; and grandchildren, Zoe Farmer (Paul), Tristin Clifford, Jager Clifford, Zac Branham, Witt Branham, Max Branham, Harlyn Jay, Hudson Jay, and Felix Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
