Obituary of Margaret S. Rodgers

CASSATT – Funeral service for Margaret Stines Rodgers, 76, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Pastors Keith Stott, Joe Stines and Marvin Jones will officiate.  The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff.

    Mrs. Rodgers passed away at home on Thursday, March 17, 2022.  Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Elias and Faye Griffin Stines.  She was a faithful member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gospel bluegrass music, playing the piano, shopping, bird watching and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

    Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Bruce Rodgers; daughter, Elizabeth Rodgers Jones (Marvin) of Cassatt; son, Dearal E. Rodgers (April) of Camden; brothers, Joe A. Stines (Gwen) of Lugoff and David Stines (Kathy) of Camden; and grandchildren, Madison Jones, Allie Jones, Griffin Jones, Fisher Rodgers and Sara Rodgers.
