Lt. Mazur played a significant role in my and many others lives at Richland Northeast High School who participated in NJROTC. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He was one of a kind and part of the reason I went on to join the Marines. Semper Fidelis LT! You will be missed and never forgotten.

It is heart breaking to know that a friend of long ago has gone to his resting place. I was estationed at Quantico VA with him, serving HMX-1, the Presidential Helicopter Transport Service in the late 50's. To date and at last count, there remains only four known members of the squadron. Jim was green side enlisted when I was at HMX-1 in 1958 and I've seen pictures of his trip to Brazil flying POTUS Eisenhower! May he find celestial peace for ever and ever more. Amen!
