CAMDEN – Funeral service for Margie Phyllis Flynn Horton, 78, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, Lancaster, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ricki Phipps and the Rev. Danny Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mrs. Horton passed away on the morning of Monday, March 3, 2014. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Smith and Wilma Lillian McManus Flynn. She retired from Hermitage Mill and worked for Dusty Bend Discount Beverage. Surviving are her son, Tony R. Thomas (Rhonda Yeargin) of Camden; daughters, Glenda Thomas of McBee and Tina Simmons (David) of Lugoff; sister, Sylvia Steele (Raeford) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Angie Woodard and Taylor Simmons; and great-grandchildren, Gage Ritter. She was predeceased by brothers, Chalmers Flynn and Conrad Flynn.
