Obituary of William "Bill" Dease, Jr.

CAMDEN – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of William Coleman “Bill” Dease, Jr., 78, will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be held on Tuesday , March 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Theil-Meyer Pet Adoption Center.

    Mr. Dease passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of the late William C. Dease, Sr., and Dorothy Pittman Dease. Mr. Dease served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Mancor. He was a handyman who enjoyed building things, gardening, and taking care of his children.

    Surviving are his companion, Susie Dease; children, Suzanne Evans (Rob) of Simpsonville, William C. Dease (Amber) of Seneca, Katie Ratcliff (Chauncey) of Camden; brother, Larry Dease (Connie) of Camden; and grandchildren, Lizzy Parnell, Sutton Ratcliff, and one grandchild on the way. He was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Estridge.
