Obituary of Rachel Lambert Mills

CAMDEN – A celebration of life service for Rachel Lambert Mills, 95, will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Will Jackson and the Rev. James Lambert will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Karesh Long Term Care and Rehab.

    Mrs. Mills, wife of the late Kenneth David “Bud” Mills, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022. Born in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Dewey Ruice and Bertha Kennedy Lambert. Mrs. Mills was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, the Camden High Steppers, the Red Hats Club and the Golden Hearts. She was a volunteer at KershawHealth and enjoyed sewing, reading and baking.

    Surviving are her children, Carolyn Ivey (Eddie) of Laurens, Kenneth Mills (Debbie) of Lugoff, Linda Poeta (Dale) of Lugoff, Brenda Jackson (Tim) of Seneca; grandchildren, Andrea Curtis (Stacy), Laura Watson (Tripp), Charlie Poeta (Katherine), Sara Mills, Buddy Mills, Rev. Will Jackson (Kim), Jason Gilbo; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Adam; and siblings, Ruice Lambert and James Lambert.
