CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of the Rev. Lawrence Russell Galloway, 68, will be held at 11am on Monday at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, officiated by Rev. Tim Shirley and Rev. Eric McAvoy. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International.
Pastor Galloway passed away at MUSC – Downtown on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Born in Hartsville, he was the son of the late Clarence V. and Myrtle Frances Myers Galloway. He retired from the City of Camden where he worked for 28 years. He was the pastor of Ray of Hope Church in Camden and has been a minister of the Gospel for 30 years. Pastor Galloway enjoyed people and witnessing for the Lord. He enjoyed nothing more than leading souls to the Lord and being here for people in need from counseling to doing whatever needed to be done. He was very dedicated to his church family and anyone in the community. He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Debra Ann Little Galloway; sister, Cheryl Gainey (Windell) of Camden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
