Obituary of Louise Brown Snider

CAMDEN – Graveside service for Louise Brown Snider, 95, will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Camden, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church of Camden or St. John’s united Methodist Church of Lugoff.

    Mrs. Snider, wife of the late Frank Edward Snider, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.  Born in Lee County, she was the daughter of the late Elias M. and Nettie B. Brown.  She was a Fuller Brush district representative before becoming a stay-at-home wife, mother, and homemaker that she did so lovingly. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. 

    Mrs. Snider enjoyed swimming, holiday time gatherings, and being with her family.  Her love of music was demonstrated by her ability to play the piano by ear.

    Surviving are her son, Michael Harvey Reynolds (Betty) of Lugoff; daughter, Kay Snider Rush (Mark) of Camden;  granddaughters, Aprili Reynolds (Kevin), Kriston Reynolds Crain (Jon) and Katie Elizabeth Rush; great-grandchildren, Colby Bryce Mursuli, Joshua Reynolds, Ashlynn Reynolds, Logan Crain and Lily Grace Crain; brother-in-law, Samuel Snider of Fisherville, Va.; sister-in-law, Anna Snider Parrish of Staunton, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by a son, James Richard Reynolds; sister, Earlene B. Davis, Velda B. Barnes, Minerva B. Beasley, and Easter B. Mathis; and a brother, Woodrow Brown.

   The family extends a special thanks to Mrs. Snider’s caregivers for  their tender love and care.
