Obituary of Tony Gene Reynolds

RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for Tony Gene Reynolds, 79, will be held on Tuesday, Dec 28, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in The Old Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Joe Stines and the Rev. Stewart Kidd will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Heart of Hospice.

    Mr. Reynolds passed away at home on Sunday, December 26, 2021.  Born in Ridgeway, he was the son of the late Melvin and Lillie Bell McCaston Reynolds. He was a cabinet builder and trim carpenter and a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.  He was a Mason and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all being with his family.

    Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Sylvia Abercrombie Reynolds; son, Brett Reynolds of Landrum, S.C.; son, Brandon Hudson (Brandy) of Lugoff; brother, Donald Reynolds of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandson, Jack Ryan Hudson; granddaughter, Katherine Poeta (Charlie); 8 additional grandchildren; and one great-grandson, Nolan Poeta.  He was predeceased by a son, Dana “Dan” Reynolds; and three other infant children.
