Obituary of Marc Alan Eby, Sr.

LUGOFF- A funeral service for Marc Alan Eby, Sr., 74, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Chaplain Mike McMillan will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Mr. Eby passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Born in Richmond, IN, he was a son of the late Howard W. Eby and Mildred Sluterbeck Eby. Mr. Eby served in the U.S. Army completing a tour in Vietnam. He enjoyed cutting wood, burning wood, riding on tractors and farming.

    Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Terry Rader Eby; son, Marc Eby Jr. (Ashley) of Lugoff; daughter, Shawn Baird (Daniel) of Elgin; grandchildren, Jasmine Eby, Tiffany Eby, Christopher Baird, John Baird; great-grandchildren, Leland, Brooklyn, Melody, Noah; siblings, Keith Eby (Delores), Joann Alcorn, Curtis Eby (Barbara), Rosemary Collins (Larry) Malcom Eby; and a sister-in-law, Micki Eby. He was predeceased by his siblings, Morris Eby, David Eby and Nevin Eby.
