Obituary of Patricia C. Jones

ELGIN- Patricia C. Jones, 84, of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021. Born in Binghamton, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Marion Smith. Mrs. Jones, wife of the late Harold Jones, was a devote Christian whose faith never wavered. She was an avid reader.

    Surviving are her children, Earl “Ed” Fink, Jr. (Jackie) of Endwell, N.Y., Penney Haughton (Leroy) of Elgin, S.C., Scott Sanborn (Lynn) of Lugoff, S.C.; sisters, Joan Smith, Sherri Kehs; 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grand-children; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a special friend, Kathy Lupold. She was predeceased by brothers, Tom and Larry Smith.

    A celebration of life service will be held in Binghamton, N.Y. and will be announced in spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
