Obituary of Jeffery Lynn Martz

CAMDEN – A celebration of life service for Jeffery Lynn Martz, 62, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with a visitation 1hr prior.

Mr. Martz passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado, he was the son of Mary Alice Rutherford Martz and Bert Martz, Jr. He loved Ford cars, the Denver Broncos, SpongeBob, and had a voice like Elvis. Jeffery was a giving person who was always positive. He was loved by all, especially his former wives.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his brother, Tommy Joe Martz (MaryAnn), and his sister, Connie T. Martz. He was predeceased by his son, Jeffery Paul Martz.

Jeff Was Very Patriotic. His Love For God And Country Was Unparalleled. The Cross He Wore Had The American Flag Imprinted On It And He Was Never Seen Without Proudly Wearing It Around His Neck. He Was A Man Of God And His Country.

His's Love For Music Takes Us Back To The Late 70's And 80's Rock 'N Roll, With Fleetwood Mac,  Bob Seger, Creedence Clearwater, Dusty Springfield  and Many Others Especially Elvis Presley.

Jeff Was Well Known For His Beautiful Coal Black Hair And His Elvis Presley’s Sideburns This Drove All The Women Wide. But, Not Only Did He Have Elvis' Sideburns He Also Had His Voice. We All Loved To Hear Him Sing.

The Youth In Jeff That Never Wanted To Grow Up Came To Attention With His Love For Cartoons, His Favorite Being SpongeBob. But On His Serious Side He Enjoyed Watching The Old John Wayne And Clint Eastwood Westerns, SiFi Movies And Good Horror Movies. With Favorite TV Series Was Bonanza.

Jeff Was All About His Denver Broncos. If You Were To Visit Him On Game Day You Had Better Be Rooting For The Same Team Otherwise Be Prepared For A Little Fun Competition. He Only Wore One NFL Hat That Covered His Lushly Coil Black Hair And They Supported The Broncos. He Wore Their Hat Faithfully Every Day.

Cars, Oh My Gosh Did Jeff Ever Inherite The "Martz Blood Line" When It Came To Cars. Mostly Known For Beefing Them Up And Heading To The Local Drag Strip. He Also Like To Collect Unique Cars, For Example, He Owned The Cool Bat Mobile Replica And A Plymouth Road Runner; Many  Corvettes, And Countless Collectable Mustang.

Jeff Had A Way With The Ladies.  Let's Face It, looking and singing like Elvis, What Woman Wouldn't Want To Be The Woman On His Arm. Jeff Was Married Five Times. Although The Marriages Were Desolved, They All Remained Best Of Friends To The End.

Jeff Is A Happy Go Lucky, Glass Half Full Kinda Guy. In Bad Situations He Always Tried To Lighten The Mood And Highlight The Good Of The Situation.

Jeff Was A Truck Driver With Over 30 Years Over The Road (OTR), Logging In More Than A Million Miles.

Jeff Was Known For Buying Meals And Helping Those In Need. On One Occasion On A Hot Summer Day As He Exited A Grocery Store He Saw A Man Trying To Sell A Small Window Air Conditioner Unit. He Walked Over To The Young Gentleman And Told Him He Wanted To Buy His AC. After Paying For It He Told The Young Guy To Take It Home And Put It Back In His Window, It Was To Hot To Be Without one.

Jeff Had Many Friends And If You Were Blessed To Be His Friend, It Was For Life. Shout Out To Kevin O. He Spoke Of You Often And To The Highest Regards. Jeff Loved His Family. Though Divorced, His Love For Dena Never Waivered. Unfortunately Time Was Not On Their Side. In The End It Was His Mother He Was Closest To And Became So Protective Of.

Rest In Peace Jeff, You Will Be Greatly Missed! With All Our Love❣
