Obituary of Stephen Allen Sims, Jr.

KERSHAW – A service to celebrate the life of Stephen Allen Sims, Jr., 44, will be held on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Westville with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Craigen Blankenship will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the burial in the Family Life Center.

    Mr. Sims passed away at MUSC Charleston on Monday, November 15, 2021.  Born in Camden, he was the son of Stephen Allen Sims, Sr. and the late Debra Truesdell Sims.  He was a self-employed logger.  He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.  Mr. Sims was a supporter of North Central High School Sports and was an avid Clemson fan.  He enjoyed fishing.

    Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Staci Rodgers Sims; children, Jacob Sims (Lexe Roberts), Christopher Sims (Scarlett Jones), Jonathan Sims (Greer Beckham Sims), and Emma Sims; father, Stephen Allen Sims Sr. (Rose); and sister, Sonya Payne (Eddy).
