Obituary of Edith Mosier
CAMDEN – Funeral service for Edith June Wilson Painter Mosier, 91, will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Malvern Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Mosier, wife of the late Bobby C. Mosier, passed away at home on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Born in Clarksburg, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Edward Guy and Mabel Jackson Wilson. She formerly worked for St. Regis, Skyline Manufacture, DuPont and Shaw Recreation Center. She was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church, and was the Sergeant At Arms for the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Poetry Society.
Surviving are her children, Gloria Hodges of Wyaconda, MO, Darla Hasty (Loren) of Peoria, IL, Charlene Gilmore of Pensacola, FL, Charles Painter of Camden, Penny Brown (Larry) of Camden, Linda Springer of Pensacola, FL and Terry Jackson (Darrell) of Ft. Valley, GA; son-in-law, Lloyd Lohr; 22 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Lohr; son, Clifford Harold “Corky” Painter; sons-in-law, Mike Springer and Ronnie Gilmore; grandson, James Michael Springer; and sisters, Orpha, Mary and Sylvia.
