Obituary of Charles A. Robinson, Sr.

CAMDEN- A memorial service for Charles A. Robinson, Sr., 83, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church. The Rev. Mark Hopkins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. The family requests that masks be worn in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.

    Mr. Robinson, husband of the late Mary Kennedy Robinson, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Andrew and Ruby Blackwell Robinson. Mr. Robinson attended Hermitage Baptist Church and was the owner of Camden Parts. He enjoyed golfing and watching Camden High School and Carolina Gamecock Football. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

    Surviving are his son, Charles “Andy” Robinson, Jr. (Laura) of York; daughter, Shannon Orr (Denny) of Carthage, N.C.; grandchildren, Kennedy Robinson, Jordan Robinson, Denton Orr, Reilly Orr, Mary Orr; and siblings, Joyce Swofford (Dean) of Camden, Ray Robinson (Becky) of Camden and Sylvia Watkins (Wayne) of Camden.
