Obituary of Elizabeth R. "Lib" Hiott
CAMDEN- Funeral services for Elizabeth R. “Lib” Hiott, 97, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Vince Earls will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DeKalb Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hiott, wife of the late Benjamin Franklin Hiott, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. Born in Kershaw County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie B. Ray, Sr. and Emma Baker Ray. Mrs. Hiott was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church. She was a caring homemaker who loved cooking, working in the yard, fishing and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Robinson (Thomas) of Camden; grandchildren, Kristi Rone (Robbie), Kathi Fletcher (David), Jeffrey Robinson (Lori), Kyle Robinson (Whitney Wolfe); 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Robinson; and siblings, Sarah Ray, Frances Jones, and Lonnie Ray, Jr.
The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers, Susan Self, Joyce Carpenter, Ashley Bowers, and MUSC Home Health & Hospice.
