Obituary of William Robert "Billy" Vaughan

SUMMERTON- A private graveside service William Robert “Billy” Vaughan, 50, will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association.

    Mr. Vaughan passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021. Born in Beaufort, S.C., he was a son of the late Steven Paul Vaughan, Sr. and Judy Oliver. Mr. Vaughan served in the U.S. Navy and was a police officer for Creedmoor Police Department and the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department. He was currently employed by Roadsafe Traffic Systems Inc. in Columbia. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed cooking, grilling, going on adventures, taking care of others, and spending time with his family and animals.

    Surviving are his wife, Tracy Lambright Cochran-Vaughan; children, Alana Vaughan, Noel Vaughan, Cody Cochran, Zoey Cochran; sister, Michelle Griffin (Mark); parents-in-law, Les and Pat Lambright; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Steven Paul Vaughan, Jr.
