My Dear Bodie Family,
There are not adequate words to describe how much Martha meant to me. We worked together for 37 years. I always felt that God placed her in our lives specifically, especially when my Mother passed at such a young age. She was not just a coworker; she was my best friend and my advisor and my calming force. She was a true example of what a Christian should be. We shared so much, like our love of piano and music and our love of animals. I always looked forward to our lunches together, and yes, we'd sometimes sneak away and do a little shopping together. She was so smart and an excellent accountant, and it was always a comfort to have her in that important position in our company. She was a part of our lives for many years. We shared many happy moments, like the marriages of her children, births of grandchildren, etc. She treated us like her own family and I'm so grateful for that. I always told her that I aspire to be more like her; I'm glad I had the opportunity to tell her that and also that I loved her dearly. I know she is rejoicing in heaven. I will forever miss her but I am truly thankful for the precious years we shared. She will hold a very special place in my heart for the remainder of my life.
