Obituary of Travis Wayne Brazell

Travis Wayne Brazell, 48, of Elgin, SC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021 with his wife, Jeannie, by his side. He was born March 29, 1973 in Columbia, SC, to Woodrow and the late Judy Brazell of Elgin, SC. Travis was a graduate of Spring Valley High school and Central Carolina where he earned his Environmental Engineering degree. He was a Construction Coordinator with the City of Columbia for 10 years.

Travis was a beloved husband, wonderful father and cherished son. His sense of humor, along with his smile, would always brighten up any room. Travis always went above and beyond, with an eager willingness to help in any way he could. His memory will forever live in the hearts of his beloved family and many friends.

Travis touched countless lives with his talent of singing. Because of his love for God and unwavering faith, singing brought much joy and fulfillment to his life while blessing so many with his amazing gift.

Travis is now home, free from sickness and pain. He is walking on streets of gold with God and his love ones gone on before him. We will be united one day and what a day that will be!

Surviving is his high school sweetheart and wife of 30 years, Jeannie Dorn Brazell; son, Ryan McKinley Brazell; father Woodrow Avery Brazell. He was preceded in death by his mother Judy Coley Brazell. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Capital City Baptist Church, 2243 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29223. Pastor Paul Monroe will officiate. All attendants are strongly encouraged to wear masks as well as practicing social distancing. Burial to follow in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, October 1, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. Family and friends that are unable to attend may watch the livestream of the service at Capital City Baptist Church YouTube channel.
