COLUMBIA – A service to celebrate the life of Kristen Amodio Baker, 21, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Powers Funeral Home. Kristen passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of David Amodio and Jacqueline Young McCall. She was a 2010 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, golf, music and playing sports. Surviving are her husband, James Paul Baker; father, David Amodio of Columbia; mother, Jackie McCall (Chuck) of Kershaw; sisters, Melissa Amodio of Columbia and Madison Amodio of Kershaw; brother, Zachary Worley of Kershaw; paternal grandfather, Angelo A. Amodio (Margaret); maternal grandmother, Ilse “Oma” Young; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by paternal grandmother, Maria Amodio; and maternal grandfather, James “Papa” Young.
