Obituary of Hyram Dalton Hall

CASSATT – Funeral services for Hyram Dalton Hall, 83, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Steve Leigh and the Rev. Matt Mims will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Hall, husband of the late Betty C. Hall, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children and grandchildren on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Born in Cassatt, he was a son of the late Murdock and Jessie Tidwell Hall. After retiring from DuPont with 40 years of service, Mr. Hall worked for Morris Pest Control, Council on Aging and the Kershaw County Recycling Center in Bethune. He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Mr. Hall enjoyed NASCAR, Baseball and watching westerns. He valued his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and spending time in the mountains. Surviving are his sons, Robert Hall (Jean) and Russell Hall, both of Cassatt; Daughter, Sharon Threatt (Larry) of Cassatt; grandchildren, Travis Threatt, Vicki Threatt, Micki Kriner, Samantha Threatt, Karen Threatt, Jessi Threatt, Jeremy Dalton Hall, Jamie Mims, and Russell Landon Hall; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Lawrence Schoolmeester and his staff at Camden Heart Care, Nurse Beverly Cassady and the staff of Abbey Road Hospice for their loving and dedicated care given to Mr. Hall during his illness.
