Obituary of Barbara Ann Bullock Eddings

***DUE TO FAMILY CIRCUMSTANCES, THE FAMILY HAS REQUESTED THAT NO INFORMATION BE SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA***

CAMDEN – Barbara Ann Bullock Eddings, wife of the late Dale F. Eddings, Sr., passed away at MUSC Kershaw Health on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late William James Bullock and Rosalee Harden Bullock.

Mrs. Eddings spent more than 20 years working for various sewing factories, ending that career with Oxford of Camden. She formed so many lifelong friendships with her coworkers from Oxford, and they continued to stay in touch all these years. When the plant closed, she returned to school to finish her education and she was hired shortly after by Cantey, Tiller, Pierce and Green.  She was their receptionist for many years and she loved every minute of meeting so many folks in our community. Everyone she encountered left with a smile on their face. She truly loved life and lived hers to the absolute fullest. She retired from Cantey, Tiller, Pierce and Greene, but visited frequently because she missed seeing all the people she got to interact with.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cassatt.  Mrs. Eddings enjoyed sewing, crafts, spending time at the lake with her family, and her precious pet, Bella.

Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Bodie (Keith) of Camden; son, Dale Eddings, Jr., (Tina) of Camden; grandchildren, Cody Bodie, Amanda Buckelew (Trey), Tae Eddings and Chase Eddings; brother, J.C. Bullock of Cassatt, and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.  She was predeceased by sisters, Ethel Ard, Mildred Bullock and Beatrice Amerson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church (P.O. Box 1461 Camden, SC 29021).
