Obituary of Steve Zumbrunnen

LUGOFF- A graveside service for Steve Jay Zumbrunnen, 72, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Marvin Jones will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

    Mr. Zumbrunnen passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, he was a son of the late Paul and Myrtle Zumbrunnen. Mr. Zumbrunnen was a member of Lugoff Masonic Lodge 411. Steve retired from DuPont after 37 years and after his retirement he worked at TriEast for 9 years. He enjoyed watching Westerns, camping, his favorite spot was at the mountains, and spending time with his family and playing with his great-grandsons. He will be loved and missed by many.

    Surviving are his wife, Janice Broughton Zumbrunnen; children, Scott Christmas (Karen) of Lexington, Michelle Taylor of Lexington, Robbie Zumbrunnen of Lugoff, Beth Taylor (Jeremy) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Steven Collins, Summer Raspberry, Kaylee Boone; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Taylor, Jeremy Cline, Jr.; siblings, Paula Blessing of Aiken, Stan Zumbrunnen (Jean) of Lexington; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jeremy Jones.
