Obituary of Jimmy Stout

James Edward Stout, 80, of Ridgeway, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Born in Kingston, TN, he was the son of the late Edgar and Naomi Hester Stout, and the husband of the late Gladys Lavonne Branham. Jimmy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ridgeway Ward. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a truck driver with Warrior Xpress for over 35 years. He also worked for many years on the weekends doing tree removal. Jimmy loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and basketball, cooking out with his family and friends, and cheering on his Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Glisson (Keith), Jennifer Fowler (Rodney), and Daryl Stout (Jennifer); his sister-in-law, Carolyn Moore; as well as 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway. The family will receive friends following the service.
