CAMDEN – Funeral service for Walter Rembert “June Bug” Durant Jr., 75, will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Durant died Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Born in Lee County, he was the son of the late Walter R. Durant Sr. and Nellie Mathis Durant. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sports fan. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Louise Hall Durant; children, Cartha Osment, Martha Branham (Joe), Charlene Hinson (Earl), Donnie Durant (Deanae) and David Durant; sister, Tibby Logan; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
