Obituary of James Roy Koon

James Roy Koon, 59, of Bethune, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born in France on July 20, 1962, he was the son of the late Donald Leroy Koon and Evelyn Lucille Ledbetter. James attended Abney Baptist Church in Kershaw, SC. He loved guns, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his children, Arianne Cherish Koon (Kevin), Amanda Lynn Navarro (Eddie), and Andrea Nicole Koon; grandchildren, Trent, Phoenix, Ellis, Kelsey, Amelia, Stella, and Ryland; and siblings, Donna Jo Williams, Luther Sam Koon (Judy), and Kay Davis Koon.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. A committal service with military honors will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
