Obituary of Kenneth Morehead, Jr.

Kenneth Morehead, Jr. (aka KB), beloved son of Kenneth Morehead, Sr. and Yolanda Gailliard was born on August 7, 1974 in New York, N.Y.  He was the oldest of three children. He entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2021 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

He received his early education in the public schools of New York, N.Y. He relocated to Camden, S.C. in the summer of 2001.

Mr. Morehead previously had experiences working in the construction field as well as a fast food chain in Kershaw, S.C. Recently, he acquired a certificate to be an Aquarist. Kenny enjoyed fishing, basketball, family games, cooking and his Sony Playstation 4. When his daughters were younger, he took special care and was very efficient in grooming their hair. That must have been a lot of fun!

During his life, he had many friends and created many memories.  He shared lots of laughs with those close to him and always found a way to bring comedy to everyday life situations. He was an undeniably funny and handsome man but more importantly was intellingent and a caring man. Most of all, he loved his familly and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Though he is now at peace, we hope that you remember, not the pain of his loss but the happiness you shared while in his presence.

Mr. Morehead was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rebecca Bess and Delores Morehead; one aunt, Linda Morehead and his step-father, George Edward Key, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his mother, Yolanda Gailliard (aka Bonnie) of Bishopville, S.C.; his fiancee, Pilar Santay Collins of Kershaw, S.C.; three daughters, Kenzia Janae Morehead, Kenneisha A’Sheonda Morehead of Kershaw, S.C. and Kennedy Jakela Morehead of Lancaster, S.C.; one brother, George Edward Key, Jr. of Camden, S.C.; one sister, Gelanda Gailliard; one aunt, Dianna (aka Diane) Clark of Charlotte, N.C.; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
