Obituary of Duane D. Marsh

CAMDEN – Graveside service for Duane Donovan “Duke” Marsh, 76, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Taylor Wells will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Humane Society of one’s choice.

    Mr. Marsh, husband of the late Donna Kate Holmes Marsh, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.  Born in Roger City, Mich., he was the son of the late Charles Eugene and Orpha May Stein Marsh.  He retired in 2010 from Perfection Clutch in Timmonsville, S.C. and currently worked for the Chronicle-Independent.  He enjoyed restoring old cars and traveling.  In his younger days he played golf, water skied and raced motorcycles.

    Surviving are his son, Jason D. Marsh (Kathleen) of Irmo; daughter, Jessica Pegram of Columbia; grandchildren, Riley Pegram and Truth Draewell; and best friend and companion, Judy King.
